The wonders of the brush...

I brushed my hair after my nice long hot shower (it has been raining so its quite cold) and realised I haven't step out of my apartment since I came back from the gym yesterday evening. That means, I have not been out of my house for more than 24 hours... seriously sad.

The only light I have seen is throught my pathetic (but massive) window that looks over at the brick wall of the building behind mine and the hollow back lane pathetically decorated with grafitties too embarassing to show the world.

As I had my ciggy, I looked out and down the backlane and only saw the sunlight for a mere few seconds and I just continued watching tv as I waited for my handy microwave to work its wonders on my ready made beef chow mien lunch. I ate my lunch in the room. A room with no windows except the closed ones above my wardrobe that shows nothing but 3 luggages (mine and wilson's... 2 of which are mine) in his room and his light.

I realise that I have spend countless hours in my room and once again, I have found comfort in the tiny room. A room not fit for claustrophobic people. But to me it has become a sanctuary, an unhealthy one but its my little sanctuary. The fact that I finally have privacy makes it more special. The fact that it has bits and pieces of my life lying around and stuck on the four walls makes it my own.

There are times when I do feel like getting out and when I do, I would walk down between Swanston's and Bourke to get my large Boost and scoot my way to the banks of the Yarra. Another of my little sanctuary in Melbourne city. Its almost like a little world of its own even when its in the city. Its beautiful because across the river is the Botanical Gardens and the row clubs and you can see the tower of the arts center and the main bridge that connects the city to Southbank on the left and on the right, the MCG.

Life's lil gifts. My room and Federation Square...

Hmm... wish I could share these with Layka and Eugene one day... oh well you can't exactly have the cake and the icing at the same time..

Which remains me, I need to save some money for Greco's this winter. I haven't been there since last year...
