In Good Company

You know how your life can turn upside down in a matter of 24 hours? Then when you think it can't be worst and things starts picking up, a bigger blow comes and hits you in the face.

This film starring Dennis Quaid (Yours, Mine and Ours), Topher Grace (The 70's Show) and Scarlett Johansson (Lost In Translation) is... different. I like.

Its kinda like an art-house film with the commercial stars and a Hollywood budget...

Anyways, I teared. Not in the boo-hoo kinda way but more like the, "oh shit!" kinda way. The way you can relate to the film in your own little altered universe. I relate to it somehow. I relate to it relationship wise especially with Scarlett's character (minus the fact that she and her dad share a special bond)... and Topher's character.. future wise.

To have someone only to lose them in the end. To be certain about something and end up doing something else and in the end it makes you so much happier (and you never thought it could ever be possible). I want to end up doing something I like doing, something I believe in.. not something that I have built a drive on to succeed.

Sometimes, I suppose, you need to take a seat and look around you. Look around you and be prepared for that punch.. you can avoid the blow but not the punch... (get what I mean?).

I didn't look around me. I trusted too much on the fact that everything is great, everything is in place and I have the people I love and trust around me. I didn't seat back and look around me. I got both the blow and the punch. Not cool.

And also, I'm glad I lost that someone. It's nice to say, "It's nice seeing you again." on a happier and peaceful note. Because you see, life moves on. Sometimes it has better things to offer, sometimes it doesn't... and sometimes, you get both. And sometimes, certain things are too good to last... *smiles*

I guess I'm an example of having the good and the bad. But you know what? I'm one of the few lucky ones because I got more of the good than the bad.

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that...
In Good Company.. good movie. I like.
