I'm getting so annoyed with assignments but then again, I'm not the only one. But the thing is, I guess I'm privilaged to get interesting assignments however, these assignments ain't easy. I guess nothing is when you're in uni level.
Going out these days has been somewhat mellow. No hard out going out. More like chilling and just enjoying the company. The thing is with mellow outings is that, half the time, you're thinking about what to do next. Which is honestly pathetic. As I'm going out with mainly Malaysians, we spend the other half the time thinking about what we could do if we were in KL.
Despite the countless complains we have about KL (read Omar's blog), I don't think I would call anywhere else home. Altho things may be somewhat generic but at least its not mundane. I guess the only way to enjoy it is when we are away from it for a long period of time. I know some people would rather the life in Melbourne. But after long talks with Tracy, Eugene, Pei Lin and Wilson, you realise that Malaysia DO have better food (we could argue that our taste buds are accustom to the food bakc home but that's besides the point), our family are there, there's so much more convinience (24 hour outlets), there's no such thing as getting up by 10am just to go shopping (shops here close by 6pm and 8pm on days and only by certain shops) etc etc etc.
Like what Baby said, its the politics in Malaysia that screws everything up. But really the people or the culture. Some may choose to hate it but others (like me) choose to love it!
I hate being away from my friends. Especially the whole church group and Layka because (this is gonna sound all childish and all k?) I don't get to be with them and get bored out of my wits end by hanging out at the mamak in Seapark. I don't get bored by hanging out at Karma. I don't get to enjoy the first few months of the hype in Laundry Bar. I don't get to check out what Forever 21 is about and I will only get see them on 15 year old teen-boppers wearing them and turning them into generic brands like those Giordano "me" shirts and MNG basics stuff.
NO FAIR!
Tracy and I are planning to bring back some Aussie fashion back to KL.. I really hope *crosses my fingers* hasn't reached KL in a big way yet.
Oh and you know what we realised.. That some of the fashion here are damn damn nice, but when we try and picture wearing it in KL... we realised that its... *drum rolls* REMPIT FASHION IN KL! Cibai betul!!
Therefore, I shall make it a point to call Layka and scope the surrounding fashion for me before I indulge and buy those sinfully beautiful things...
Ouhhh... I finally spoke to Layka yesterday.. what would I do without her??? We were both getting damn excited about me heading home in the next 6 weeks. Hehehe.. and I gotta call Nash before she leaves tomorrow.. Matta gone. Adrian gone. Now Nash pulak.. ish.. hmmm...I wonder when will I see you next...
Countdown: 40 days
