Okay, after my last entry, I got a paper cut as I was rushing to stuff my books in my bag so I can rush to the Media Studies office to pass in my assignment (I know! I'm such a klutz). After passing in my assignment, I went to get myself a large caffe latte and some cigs cos I was seriously falling asleep...
When I got my my designated place to take a breather after spending 2 hours plus in the library completing a minimum of 1500 word essay (which came up to about 1700 words!), Jess and Dana saw me and joined me for a ciggy (well Dana doesn't smoke, but Jess does) and they told me that they've got awesome footages for the MTN project and they even got exclusive interview with the aboriginals that's been camping at the park in front of the arts center in protest. AND they even had an interview with a SENATE at the Anzac march parade!! woohoo!! that would bring in soooo much more points for this project which means GOOD news for me!
Then I dragged myself for the anthropology tute where Robyn (my tutor) decided to freak the class out with the essay we handed in before the Easter break. After about 30 minutes of talking about the essay, she finally handed us the essay. And when I had the first glance at my essay.. there was so little comments which has NEVER happened before in my anthropology essays (usually there ALOT of comments and crosses here and there). I was so stoked when I saw my first B! I mean, I've gotten B before but thats for presentation NOT for essays!!!!
I was over the moon! I couldn't stop smiling!!! Here's her comment,
"Nice work. Well written and demonstarting good application of the concept. No major issues to deal with. Well done!"
I thinks thats the best I've received since I started uni mid last year! Hehehehe... and I thought that was it... thats the peak of my happy day.. boy I was soooo wrong!
I decided to check the mail box when I got home and guess what????
A poem I wrote (which I totally forgot about) will be published in a coffee-table edition! AND I'm automatically a semi-finalist for the International Open Poetry Contest! Where I might win USD1000! yea yea yea, I know! The odds are slim! BUT HECK! I'm going to be published for something I wrote out of boredom! And I don't even remember who I wrote it about! mwahahaha. It's by Poetry.com! If I'm not mistaken, it was AMY IZHAR who asked me to check it out... hahahaha.
Here's the poem I wrote..
You walk next to me like I was nothing but another tree,
You walk next to me like I do not even exist.
Look at me,
I'm just next to you,
It hurts so much,
Because I'm in love with you.
I'm soooo happy!!!
And it all began when he called to wake me up in the morning...
Creo que estoy enamorada contigo, mi amor...
